In this course, teachers will develop standards-based curriculum and assessments. This course is mandatory for preliminary Designated Subjects CTE and AE Credentials and is a prerequisite for the Foundations of Teaching English Learners in CTE course (for CTE credentials) and the Foundations of Teaching Adult Learners (for AE credentials).

This course provides candidates in the Designated Subjects Career Technical Education and Adult Education Credential Program with an understanding of how to use statewide resources for curriculum planning and development including standards-based course outlines, lesson plans, and assessments. Prerequisite: Foundations of Classroom Management with a grade of C or better.
